'Bangkit' (Awakening): Indonesia’s First Natural Disaster Film

Indonesia's many natural calamities has inspired Kaninga Pictures and Oreima Films to produce a film with natural disasters as background. 'Bangkit' (Awakening) becomes the first such film to be produced in Indonesia.

This rather special film makes use of extensive visual special effects, employing 75 percent of CGI technology throughout. The film, scheduled for release later in July, is directed by Rako Prijanto, with leading actors Vino G Bastian and Acha Septriasa.
