Arab artists delegation to visit Gaza

The Palestinian Artists Union said Monday that all preparations were complete to receive a visiting delegation of Arab artists to the Gaza Strip on Wednesday.

Head of the Palestinian union Zakariyah Zein Ad-Din said "the visit is within the context of continued efforts to break the siege on Gaza and to show that artists care for Gaza, the Palestinian issue, and want to help solve the conflict."

Zein Ad-Din called on artists' unions to encourage their members to visit the Strip to deliver their peaceful message and "convey the beauty of Palestine."

The delegation will be led by Arab Artists Union head As'ad Sa'ed.

In January, eight Palestinian entertainment stars from Syria arrived in Gaza a tour of support for the people of the besieged coastal region.
